SnackFriends was born of Keith's obsession with spreading the word about apples having no core, which began in the chat of the stream for Spintires. He made a call to Dre, where they recorded themselves eating apples to prove the doubters wrong. And they did. The first episode debuted on June 21, 2014.
Episode two was released on June 29, 2014 and was inspired by Janine's birthday greeting to Keith.
